Georges Roy

Georges has had a varied and distinguished career in Pharmacy. He has a Pharmacy and Masters degree from the University of Montreal. His career includes: being Foreman of Transformation at Smith, Kline, and French; Manager at Atlas Laboratory for Les Pharmacies Universelles; Manager of Analco Inc.; Director of Canadian Sales for Strong, Cobb, and Arner. In 1966 he purchased a community pharmacy and operated it for 10 years. He has been a member of the Association Quebecoise des Pharmaciens Proprietaires (AQPP) since its inception and has taken on a number of responsibilities including Editor in Chief of Quebec - Pharmacie. He served as Secretary of the association and sat on many committees including the Negotiations Committee. He also served as the Secretary of the Ordre des Pharmaciens de Quebec. He has been employed as the senior pharmacist at the Hopital St-Joseph de la Providence and provided services to 3 nursing homes. A past president of CPhA, Georges has served on several committees. He led the first delegation of Canadian pharmacists to the People’s Republic of China. Georges was awarded an Honorary Life Membership in CPhA in 1992.
